General Scope of Project
The Roberta and Stephen R. Weiner Center for Preoperative Evaluation serves as the intake point for anyone awaiting inpatient or outpatient surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Approximately 90 patients are examined and consulted in this space every day. n|e|m|d’s design for the renovation increased the size of the facility by 50%, allowing for a spacious front entry hall with an inviting reception and waiting area. Examination rooms, a phlebotomy suite, and other clinical areas were located discreetly beyond the waiting area for the convenience and privacy of patients.
