On September 3, 2026, NEMD Architects, TOCCI, and STV, along with the State of Rhode Island, celebrated the ribbon-cutting at Eleanor Slater Hospital's Regan Building, a significant step towards improving behavioral healthcare in the state.
This project encompassed the Health Upgrades for the State of Rhode Island
renovating six floors of Eleanor Slater’s Regan Building, creating over 60,000 sf of Behavioral Health space. These enhancements are designed to create a safe and supportive environment. The project included secure lockdown psychiatric units, group therapy, consultation rooms, and patient beds. Specialty impact windows, anti-barricade doors, and advanced security systems will ensure a safe environment.
